Distribution Center Assistant Manager Reports To: Distribution Center Manager Direct Reports: Yes Status: Full-Time Salaried Division: Distribution & Logistics Job Purpose: The Distribution Center Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various departments within the Distribution Center. They provide overall direction and support to achieve the XLP/TPH Vision and Mission while upholding the XLP/TPH Core Values. The role encompasses inbound and outbound departments, entire shifts, or any combination thereof. Key Job Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and optimize assigned departments to meet KPI goals and execute the XLP/TPH Mission. Ensure accurate and efficient processes while focusing on continuous improvement to enhance value, service, and profitability. Implement and oversee safety programs to ensure the well-being of associates, equipment, and property. Maintain compliance with company, customer, and government regulations. Develop and execute work plans to manage staffing levels, labor costs, overtime, and retention within assigned departments. Monitor and evaluate performance variances, identifying root causes, corrective actions, and training needs. Guide and develop Team Members and Leadership by providing feedback, support, and modeling core values and policies. Participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation of Team Members and Leadership, addressing ethical, performance, and compliance issues. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of warehouse or wholesale DC experience Excellent leadership, organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and decision-making skills. Proficient at multitasking, making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong working ability of Microsoft Office products (Required). To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
