Pizza Wholesale of Lexington is seeking ambitious, hard-working individuals for our Routing Manager position located in Paris, KY. The Routing Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the routing of transportation and delivery services within an organization. This role involves ensuring efficient and cost-effective routes are planned and executed to maximize resource utilization, minimize fuel costs, and meet customer delivery expectations. The Routing Manager works closely with the routing and operations teams to analyze routes, resolve logistical challenges, and ensure timely deliveries. Qualifications Key Responsibilities: Route Planning and Optimization: Design and implement efficient routes for transportation and delivery, using Field Service Lightning (a Salesforce product) routing software and tools. Analyze existing delivery routes and schedules to optimize for time, cost, and resource utilization. Adjust routes based on variables such as traffic patterns, weather conditions, delivery deadlines, and vehicle availability. Cost Control and Efficiency: Continuously monitor and evaluate routing performance to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions. Identify opportunities for cost savings, including fuel efficiency, driver productivity, and route consolidation. Collaborate with finance teams to manage budgets and expenses related to routing and transportation operations. Customer Service and Delivery Performance: Ensure timely and accurate deliveries that meet or exceed customer expectations. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery times, customer satisfaction, and order accuracy. Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules, changes, or potential delays. Data Analysis and Reporting: Use routing software and logistics data to analyze trends, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions for improvement. Generate reports on routing performance, including on-time deliveries, costs, and fuel consumption. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on how to improve routing strategies and processes. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all routing activities comply with transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules, safety guidelines, and local laws. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation and delivery regulations to ensure compliance. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor routing analyst to optimize performance and operational efficiency. Provide training and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment that encourages teamwork and innovation. Key Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation management, or route optimization, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a leadership or management role. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in routing software, GPS tracking systems, and fleet management tools. Preferably Field Service Lightening routing software Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes, transportation regulations, and delivery best practices. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and optimize routes for efficiency and cost savings. Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve logistical challenges and adapt routes in response to unexpected delays or issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and internal stakeholders. Leadership: Proven experience managing and motivating a team, with a focus on performance enhancement and operational excellence.
